Homunity: Salesforce to HubSpot migration in under 3 months
Switch CRM in three months, without stopping sales. Copernic migrated Homunity from Salesforce to HubSpot, data and processes included.
- Goal 01. Migrate the entire Salesforce CRM to HubSpot within a tight 3-month window.
- Goal 02. Protect business continuity and data integrity throughout the transition.
- Goal 03. Rebuild sales and marketing processes in HubSpot with no loss of performance.
The project
A fixed deadline.
No data to lose.
Homunity is a real estate crowdfunding platform: individuals invest in selected projects from €1,000. Its promise: make real estate investment accessible and transparent.
Context
Salesforce no longer met Homunity’s needs for agility, cost and alignment between teams.
Challenge
Migrate contacts, deals and interaction history without slowing the business down. Any data loss would have hurt investor relationships.
What we did
Scoping in sprints, data migration, pipelines and workflows rebuilt in HubSpot, teams trained during the project.
Result
Deadline met, 100% of data recovered and teams up and running on HubSpot from day one.
The results
Three months promised.
Three months delivered.
No sales slowdown during the transition. Homunity now has a CRM that fits the size and pace of its teams.
What we did
Four workstreams in parallel.
One deadline.
Structured scoping from day one
Facing the urgency, Copernic broke the migration down into short phases. Each sprint was signed off with Homunity’s teams before moving to the next.
A migration with zero data loss
Extract, clean, transform, then re-import all Salesforce data: contacts, pipelines, segments and custom properties. That is our CRM migration method.
Processes rebuilt in HubSpot
Workflows, sales pipelines and sequences were reconfigured with HubSpot’s native features, simplifying what had been complex in Salesforce.
Teams trained during the project
Training sessions built into the schedule: sales teams got to grips with HubSpot with no downtime and kept selling throughout the transition.
Method
Twelve weeks, three phases.
Every sprint signed off.
Audit and scoping
Weeks 1 and 2. Inventory of Salesforce data, mapping of CRM objects, critical dependencies identified and migration plan defined.
Migration and configuration
Weeks 3 to 10. Data extracted and cleaned, imported into HubSpot, pipelines, workflows and properties rebuilt. Sandbox testing before cutover.
Cutover and stabilization
Weeks 11 and 12. Final cutover, data integrity checks, team training and post-launch support.
The data model
The same history.
A simpler model.
Before cutover, Copernic mapped the Salesforce objects and checked the integrity of the data carried over into HubSpot:
- Contact history preserved
- Sales pipelines rebuilt
- Segments and custom properties carried over
- Sandbox testing before final cutover
In their words
Three non-negotiable months.
Homunity tells the story.
A real tour de force
“The Copernic team had to scope and migrate our CRM from Salesforce to HubSpot in under 3 non-negotiable months, which is a real tour de force. Their teams’ expertise in migrating CRMs to HubSpot is undeniable, and so is their responsiveness.”
